In terms of making holiday items for my Etsy shop, I am just beginning to plan. Yes, way behind!
But, and you will hate me for this, my gift shopping is completely done. I usually purchase gifts throughout the year; when I see something that makes me think "my sister would love this!", I get it then and there. I've never understood the last minute rush for gifts. Where is the thought?
That's why I'm a little late in starting holiday handmade items. I like to give them a lot of thought and do a lot of sketching.
I will also be posting notes on thrifting. Thrifting is an opportunistic treasure hunt and I find a great deal of my holiday gifts that way. I found a brand new "bug barn" (kids can gather little insect friends and store them for a day or two) for my nephew. Ha! Won't my sister love that idea! Going thrifting tomorrow and will meet you here to report on my finds.
